Yevgeniya “Jenya” Marvar returned home to the Bay Area in 2007 for an opportunity to work with individuals and families. Jenya completed her bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley and received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego.
Jenya uses Solution-Focused therapy and is very committed to helping clients solve problems using methods that really work.
Jenya specializes in young people, especially those who find themselves at a crossroads. She will help focus your sessions on finding practical solutions that work in real life. Jenya believes in every person’s own ability to solve their problems by giving them support, useful information, and by helping clients build insight into their past choices and solutions. Jenya’s experience ranges from crisis counseling in a hospital setting, school systems, and working with teachers, students, and parents.
Jenya remains committed to sharpening her therapeutic skills and staying current on what works in therapy through ongoing continuing educations courses in therapy, human services, and psychology. Jenya is a also a faculty member at the University of Phoenix, where she trains new therapists in counseling theory as well as practical skills and knowledge.
